RRB GROUP D
The Railway Recruitment Board conducts RRB Group D exam to recruit potential candidates for various posts.
EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS
The exam is conducted in three stages:
1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
- It consists of objective type questions
- Negative Marking: 1/3 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The candidates called for PET are three times the community wise total vacancies of the posts, notified against RRBs. The criteria for PET is as follows:

|Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down||Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down|
|Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in 1 chance||Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in 1 chance|
3. Document Verification and Medical
If two or more candidates secure the same marks, then their merit position is determined according to their age, which implies older person is given higher seniority. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates.
