Navik (Domestic Branch)Passed 10th Class from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).Minimum 18 years & maximum 22 years as follow:  

Born between 01 Oct 1999 to 30 Sep 2003(both dates inclusive).
YantrikPassed 10th class from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) & Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics & Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).Minimum 18 years & maximum 22 years as follow:  

Born between 01 August 1999 to 31 July 2003 (both dates inclusive).  

Note:

Education Boards listed on COBSE Website on the date of registration shall only be considered.

Age Relaxation:

Upper age relaxation for  SC/ ST – 5years

  • No negative marking in the written test examination.
  • Candidates older in age will be higher in merit.

Physical Fitness Test

Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

  • A merit list of the qualified candidates in Stage-I will be released along with an e-admit card for the Stage-II.
  • Candidates need to submit additional documents for stage-II.
  • E-admit card for stage-II will not be generated till the additional documents are uploaded by the candidates within a period as mentioned on ICG website.

The PFT consist of: –

  1. 1.7 km run to be completed in 7 minutes
  2. 20 Squat up (Uthak Baithak).
  3. 10 Push-up

All three test are to be carried out in continuity without any break.

Stage III – Medical Test

Based on the performance in Stage-I & Stage-II, an all India merit list will be prepared and e-admit card for stage-III (final medicals at INS Chilka) will be issued as per the vacancies available and ratio decided by ICG.

Stage IV – Document Verification

The candidates are to submit all the original documents and verification of all original documents through boards/universities/state government will be carried out by the Indian Coast Guard.

Medical Fitness Standards

Medical examination will be conducted by authorized Military Doctor as per medical standard prescribed in the circular.

  • Minimum Height – 157 cms
  • Candidates having domicile of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Garhwal, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands – Rs 152 cms
  • Candidates having domicile of Lakshadweep – Rs 155 cms

Chest

  • Should be well proportioned.
  • Minimum expansion 5 cms.

Weight

  • Proportionate to height and age +10 percentage acceptable.

Hearing

  • Normal

Tattoos

  • Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body.
