Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2020: Staff Selection Commission (SSC)—the recruitment cell of Delhi Police—has released a new notification that calls for aspirants to fill online application forms for the recruitment of 5,846 Constable in Delhi police.

The exam date for the same has also been released by the SSC, and aspirants in the age range of 18–25 years can apply online for the Delhi Police recruitment 2020 exam.

Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2020 Examination Date

In the notification, the SSC has released the exam dates for SSC Delhi Police 2020 Constables Exam along with the exam calendar for year 2020–2021. As per the information in the SSC notification, the online exam of Delhi Police Constable (Executive) is scheduled to be conducted on: 27 and 30th Nov. 2020; 1–3 Dec. 2020; 7–11 Dec. 2020; and, 14 Dec. 2020.

How to Fill the Delhi Police Constable SSC Online Form:

Make a note of the following steps to apply for the examination:

1. First, the official SSC website or Click the Online Form link which we have given above;

2. Once you reach the SSC website’s homepage, click “New Registration”;

3. In the New Registration page, do the required steps to create your personal Registration ID and Password that will be required for filling up the application form;

4. Now log in by using the credentials (Registration ID and Password) you created in Step#3;

5. Once you log in, you will be able to view the application form;

6. Fill the form carefully. Try not to make any mistakes in order to avoid future problems;

6. After correctly filling all the details you will be asked to upload some documents. Upload everything as per specifications along with your scanned photograph and signature and click “Continue”;

7. Preview the form once again. If everything is correct click the “Submit” button.

8. Your application will be submitted. You can download and take a printout for future correspondence.

Delhi Police Constable Examination Pattern

The SSC will conduct the examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on all-India basis throughout the country. The online CBT can be written in both English and hindi and questions will be from the following subjects:

The CBT will comprise one 100-question objective type paper which will be 90 minutes long, and there shall be one mark for every question answered correctly.

There will be negative marking in the test and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each each wrong answer.

The difficulty levels of the questions shall be of Class 10 level, and there shall be: 30 percent easy questions; 50 percent medium-level difficulty questions; and 20 percent high-difficulty level questions.

Candidates of General Category securing 35 percent marks, SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates securing 30 percent marks and ex-servicemen securing 25 percent marks in aggregate in the CBT will be considered eligible for short-listing to appear for the physical fitness test.

The detailed syllabus for all subjects of Delhi Police Constable 2020 Online Computer Based Examination is given below:

Reasoning Syllabus:

The reasoning ability and analytical aptitude to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested through questions principally of non-verbal type. This section may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observations, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasons and figural classification, arithmetic number series,· non-verbal series, coding and decoding etc.

Numerical Ability Syllabus:

This section will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and. Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work. etc.

General Knowledge/Current Affairs Syllabus:

The syllabus of General Knowledge/Current Affairs is designed to test the candidate’s general awareness around him/her and knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.

The questions will be asked related to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Computer Syllabus:

Computer Fundamentals, MS Excel, MS Word, Communication, Internet, WWW and Web Browsers etc include questions on the following:-

1. Elements of Word Processing (Word Processing Basics, Opening and closing Documents, Text Creation, Formatting the Text and its presentation features).

2. MS Excel (Elements of Spread Sheet, Editing of Cells, Function and Formulas)

3. Communication (Basics of E-mail, Sending/receiving of-Emails and its related functions)

4. Internet, WWW and Web Browsers (Internet, Services on Internet, URL, HTTP, FTP, Web sites, Blogs, Web Browsing Software, Search Engines, Chat, Video conferencing, e-Banking).

Delhi Police Recruitment 2020 – Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfil the following four criteria to be eligible for the Delhi Police Constable 2020 Exam:

1) Nationality/ Citizenship

Candidates must be the citizen of India.

2) Education Qualification

The candidate must have passed 10+ 2 (Senior Secondary) from any recognized school board, on the closing date of receipt of online applications.

Relaxable up to 11th pass only for:

i) Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc. of Delhi Police only; and,

ii) Sons of serving, deceased, retired police personnel including Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

3) Age limit

The candidate must be 18 Years to 25 Years as on 01-07-2020. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-07-1995 and later than 01-07-2002. The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxable only in the following cases:

(i) Upto a maximum of five years for a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category candidate; and,

(ii) Upto a maximum of three years for an OBC category candidate.

iii) Upto a maximum of five years for sportsmen of distinction who have represented a State at the National level or the Country at the International level in sports during preceding three years from the closing date of receipt of online applications.

iv) Relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible up to 40 years for general category (UR), 43 years for OBC and 45 years for SCs/STs in case of departmental candidates of Delhi Police.

v) Relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible up to 29 years in case of sons of serving, retired or deceased police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

4) Essential Requirement

Candidate must possess a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle or Car) for the post of Const. (Exe.) Male in Delhi Police as on the date of PE&MT. Learner License is not acceptable.

Delhi Police Constable Admit Card

The admit card/call letters for Delhi Police 2020 Constable exam is released 15 days prior to the date of the exam. This year, the admit card will be released by the third week of November 2020.

Delhi Police Constable Result 2020

The result for Delhi Police Constable 2020 exam will be released once the examination for the same has been conducted. Candidates can check their results using their roll number and name. Those who qualify the cut-off marks will appear for the next level of exam. After the next round of examination, i.e., PEMT authorities release the final result. The final selection list or the merit list will be published on the official website of SSC i.e. www.ssc.nic.in.

The candidates will be selected for the vacant posts on the basis of their marks which will be obtained from the examination as well as physical and medical tests completely.
