Eligibility Criteria:

UPSC NDA & NA (1) RECRUITMENT 2021 – ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA

Age Limit, Sex, Marital Status:

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July 2002 and not later than 1st July 2005 are eligible.

Educational Qualifications: 

NDA & NA (I) 2021Educational Qualification As on 24th December 2021
For Army Wing12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Note:

  • Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
  • Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.

Physical Standards:

Height Criteria

Note: Height relaxable up to 2.5 cm may be allowed where the Medical Board certifies that the candidate is likely to grow and come up to the required standard on completion of his training.

Candidates are also advised to rectify minor defects/ailments to speed up the finalization of a medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. Few of such commonly found defects/ailments are listed below :

Selection Process:

UPSC NDA & NA (1) RECRUITMENT 2021 – SELECTION PROCESS

UPSC NDA & NA (I) 2021 exam will consist of 2 stages

  • Written examination
  •  SSB Interview.

Stage I – Written Examination (Objective Type Questions)

UPSC prepares a list of candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in the written examination as fixed by the Commission at their discretion.

Stage II – SSB Examination (Intelligence & Personality Test)

SSB Exam PatternStage I – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Test, Picture Perception (PP) & Description Test (DT) Stage II – Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Test & the Conference.    
  • Such candidates shall appear before a Services Selection Board (SSB) for Intelligence and Personality Test.
  • Candidates for the Army/Navy wings of the NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy will be assessed on Officers Potentiality Test.
  • Candidates for the Air Force in addition to the above will have to qualify Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS).
